Once you complete 1 Main quest plot line for act 2 more options with Merrill pop up. You'll get the Mirror Images Quest. Try doing Night Terrors b4 hand bring merrill, you can get some big friendship/rivalry points, it will give you an extra Cut scene w/ her later where you can score more friendship/rivalry. In the dream you can Avoid rivalry with a little trial and error i forget which response (i think humor) will result in no rivalry points.
